Telehealth is convenient.

To keep our patients, doctors, nurses and staff safe, we kindly ask you to make a telehealth appointment online rather than coming directly into the medical centre if you are:

  • Feeling unwell with a fever, cough, runny nose or other symptoms that could be from COVID-19.
  • Waiting for COVID-19 test results,
  • Have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • A close contact of someone with COVID-19.
  • In quarantine.
  • Experiencing a severe medical emergency

Yes, Wangaratta Medical Centre is open on a Saturday, 9 am to 12 pm.
(We are close on Sundays)

For afterhours problems at night, weekends or holidays call 03 5722 1500 for information regarding after hours care.

Patients can request their medical records when transferring to a new practice. A signed request form from the new clinic is required. You may also request a full or summary copy of your records directly from us. To do so, we’ll need a signed request form from this practice.

Food or drink is not encouraged inside the practice.

Feedback is always welcome at the practice, as it helps us improve the quality of care we provide and ensures we’re meeting the needs of our patients. A suggestion box is available in the waiting room, and you’re also welcome to leave a verbal or written message with our staff.

 

Any complaints should be discussed directly with the doctor or the Practice Manager, either in person or in writing. Contact details for the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC) are available from the Practice Manager upon request.

We prefer that patients book an appointment with their doctor to discuss their results.

If you have your mobile number registered with us, you will receive a SMS indicating what further action you need to take.

The law gives you certain privacy rights in relation to information that you give this medical practice.
We need your consent to collect personal information about you.

Your medical record is a confidential document and it is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

A copy of our privacy policy is given to patients at their initial consult at the practice and anytime upon request.

Telehealth appointments are now available for select services including repeat referrals and medical certificates.
